With great pleasure, we extend an invitation to the scientific community and other professionals with an interest in the field of Vocational Psychology and Career Development to participate in the V Seminário Internacional de Desenvolvimento de Carreira e Aconselhamento, focusing on the themes of 'Health, Career, and Prosperity in an Era of Human Rights.'
This 5th edition of the Seminar will take place on November 28th and 29th, 2024, at the School of Psychology, University of Minho, in Braga.
During this seminar, our goal is to explore the contributions of Vocational Psychology and Career Development, as well as related areas, to a career construction process aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established in the 2030 Agenda by the United Nations General Assembly. Given the current ideological, sociopolitical, environmental, and economic challenges, it is crucial to advocate for the universal dream of a society where the right to health, quality education, and decent work becomes the norm rather than the exception. However, on the journey to this desired condition, several obstacles will be encountered, requiring persistence, adaptability, and integrity in building career paths.
In this context, this edition of the Seminar focuses on disseminating and promoting the exchange of scientific knowledge and evidence-based practices that support solutions for individuals and contexts in preparing and implementing life projects contributing to prosperity in an era of Human Rights.
